Patrick’s practice focuses on a broad range of patent matters, primarily in the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and chemistry.

He has extensive experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications, rendering invalidity, freedom to operate, non-infringement and patentability opinions, and providing strategic advice and counseling to clients on their patent portfolios.

His work also has included performing comprehensive IP due diligence in connection with mergers, acquisitions and capital investments, and he has been involved in various aspects of adversarial patent proceedings.

While a student at Fordham University School of Law, Patrick served as a Notes and Articles Editor of the Fordham International Law Journal. Before earning his law degree, he gained biotechnology research experience in both academic and industry settings, where he researched mammalian receptor systems and their functions, and evaluated the pharmacokinetics and metabolism of investigational new drugs and drug candidates.
